Bayviews Restaurant & Lounge Bar has been proudly owned and operated by husband and wife Kurt and Ann Wyss since 2009. It is situated on the beach with endless views of the coast extending to the ocean in the refreshing climate of coastal northern Tasmania.
At Bayviews, you can enjoy a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere for dining in the restaurant, savouring casual drinks with bar food in the lounge and private dining area, and hosting conferences and meetings in the exquisite Wave Room.

Entrée tasting platter
Smaller versions of our most popular entrées including: southern calamari, beef cheek croquettes, steamed prawn and chorizo dumplings
Eye fillet of beef tartare
Seasoned with mustard, capers, gherkins, chives, black pepper and parmesan lavosh, fried capers, mustard cream, grated Grana Padano parmesan
Goats cheese, spinach and ricotta cannelloni
Roasted with Tasmanian bush pepper bechamel, walnut and almond granola, roasted tomato and charred capsicum sauce, local basil, pecorino, tomato and fresh cucumber salad
Preserved strawberry parfait
Torched lavender and strawberry marshmallow, fresh prosecco marinated strawberries, white chocolate and macadamia crumb
CHEF’S TASTING MENU (6 courses)
1. Blue eye trevalla sashimi
Crème fraiche, chive and lime dressing, coconut sauce, charred corn, avocado, tapioca crisps, herb oil
2. Pan seared pumpkin and chive gnocchi
Tossed through maple scented brown butter, salsa verde, house marinated persian fetta, maple roasted pepitas and pinenuts
3.Prawn and chorizo dumplings
Fried and steamed, citrus coconut broth, white radish kimchi, chorizo oil, fresh herbs
4. Chargrilled lamb loin and pressed neck
Paprika and lemon scented hommus, harissa spiced polenta, preserved lemon labneh, zucchini relish salsa verde, almond dukkah, mint
5. Sous vide wallaby porterhouse
Marinated in Tasmanian pepperberry and juniper berries, port and red wine soaked fig and onion compote, macadamia crumb, beetroot and fresh cherry relish, red wine and pepper jus
6. Coconut lime meringue
Meringue sheets layered with lime and coconut mousse, pineapple relish, pina colada sorbet, crisp meringue, pineapple sauce, mint
